The consultation

The purpose of the consultation was to give address the ‘NPF Implementation: Housing Growth Requirements Guidelines for Planning Authorities’ issued under Section 28 of the Planning and Development Act, 2000 (as amended). Consultation opened on 20th March 2026 and closed on 20th April 2026. 114 submissions were received.

Your views and suggestions

The Chief Executive's Report of Tipperary County Council on the consultation is attached and sets out a number of recommendations. 

Outcomes

If the recommendations of Chief Executive are adopted, or if further changes to the Draft Variation published on 20th March 2026 are adopted by Elected Members, a further period of consultation will be required (Material Alterations). These Material Alterations will be published on 1st July 2026.
