NOTICE OF PROPOSED ADDITIONS TO THE RECORD OF PROTECTED STRUCTURES IN THE TIPPERARY COUNTY DEVELOPMENT PLAN 2022-2028
Notice is hereby given pursuant to Sections 54 and 55 of the Planning and Development Act 2000 (as amended) that Tipperary County Council proposes additions to the Record of Protected Structures (RPS) in the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028.
The proposed additions are currently contained within the following Records of Protected Structures:
Cashel and Environs Development Plan 2009
Templemore and Environs Development Plan 2012
Tipperary Town and Environs Development Plan 2013
It is intended to transpose the structures on these Records into the Record of Protected Structures for the Tipperary County Development Plan 2022-2028, thereby creating a single Record of Protected Structures for Tipperary. Each of the Records will be transposed in full to maintain the status of each structure.
Some of the proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures are on foot of a Ministerial recommendation.
A list and the particulars of the proposed additions to the Record of Protected Structures can be viewed on this webpage (in the Materials section) and will be available for inspection in hard copy during normal opening hours from Thursday 16th July 2026 to Monday 31st August 2026 (both dates inclusive) at the following locations:
2. In writing (marked clearly as “Proposed Additions to the RPS”) to either of the following addresses:
• Planning Department, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Limerick Road, Nenagh, Co Tipperary, E45 A099
• Planning Department, Tipperary County Council, Civic Offices, Emmet Street, Clonmel, Co Tipperary, E91 N512.
Submissions or observations must be made in writing no later than 4.00 p.m. on Monday, 31st August 2026. Late submissions will not be accepted.
Please consider the following in making your submission:
1. Submissions should be in ONE medium only i.e. online or in hard copy. Emailed submissions will not be accepted.
2. Submissions should include the full name and address of the person making the submission, details of organisation, group or company represented where relevant.
3. Submissions should include the reference number and location of the Proposed Protected Structure(s) to which the submission relates.
4. All submissions/observations will be subject to the Data Protection Act 1988-2018 and the Freedom of Information Act 2014.
Any submissions or observations will be taken into consideration before the making of the addition concerned. Any submissions or observations relating to a proposed addition on foot of a Ministerial recommendation shall be forwarded to that Minister for their observations.
